The Houston Astros @ San Diego Padres game was delayed for about an hour today due to a swarm of bees. The bees swarmed the left field ball girl's jacket in the of the 9th causing a 52 minute delay.

This thread has been a little inactive lately. I thought I would update all of you on a new online game I have recently found myself addicted to. I suppose the nicest thing about it is that you only need to spend a couple of minutes once or twice per day, versus some of the others we have listed previously that gobble up all of your time. Check it out...

Often, I wonder if I might be too "politically incorrect" for most in society, but admittedly the Italians have one up on me. Check this out.
An Italian court has ruled the government must pay $150,000 in damages to 26-year-old Danilo Giuffrida who was told to retake a driving test because he was gay. When Danilo told doctors he was gay at his medical examination for military service, they passed the information to the transport ministry, who told him he must repeat his driving test or have his license withdrawn due to his "sexual identity disturbance." He agreed to re-take his test, passed it for a second time, but the ministry renewed his license for just one year rather than the usual 10 years because of his homosexuality. The courts ruled this was big time discrimination and violated the man's constitutional rights. Danilo said the sentence was "a step forwards for civil rights because from now on what happened to me can't happen again."
